Toronto Pet Photography – Svetlana and Baksa

Thirteen years of perfect relationship, thirteen years of love, affection and devotion – Svetlana adopted Baksa, a true Persian feline princess, when she was a tiny little kitten and they have been inseparable with ever since.

Thank you ladies for inviting me to your home today, I had a wonderful time taking pictures of you both!

As usual at least 15% of the fee will be going to a charity dedicated to helping out animals in need – thank you Svetlana and Baksa, your help is very much appreciated!

Toronto Pet Photography – Emily and Stoja

I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon in Emily’s cool lofty condo in west-end Toronto, where she invited me to take some portraits of her little girl and support my slowly growing (for now) campaign to raise some money for the local shelters. They say all pets resemble their owners – looking at the picture below, well, there is some truth to that expression Stoja is still very little, she is only 6 months old and she is a Siberian Forest Cat. She is such a gentle little lady, very delicate and playful – and she was definitely enjoying taking photographs, as long as she was modelling solo

Nick, Debbie and Biggie – Family Portraits, Port Credit, Mississauga

Nick and Debbie decided to commemorate their 10 year anniversary and invited me to take pictures of them and their English bulldog Biggie in their sunny little place in Port Credit. After few pictures inside, we decided to go for a quick stroll down to Lakeshore and although Biggie was too busy trying to collect all the sticks in the neighbourhood, we managed to snap few family portraits there as well.

As usual 15% of the fee will be going to a charity dedicated to helping out animals in need – thanks Nick and Debbie, your help is very much appreciated!

Toronto Animal Photography – Absolute Equestrian, Bowmanville, Ontario

I was invited to spend an afternoon at Absolute Equestrian in Bowmanville to take some pictures of the beautiful horses and a huge facility that allows a lot of browsing space as well as few arenas for exercise and training. I met several wonderful people including Cyndi who is the owner of the farm and Vanessa who is helping with marketing and advertising and is just clearly very fond of farm’s wonderful inhabitants.

I must admit I have a soft spot for horses, I love and admire them – I think they are majestic, they should be worshiped and spoiled rotten with variety of crunchy snacks like apples and carrots! I haven’t gotten a chance to try and ride any of the horses but I personally met a few of them and while feeding them healthy treats heard their stories. Some of them are pretty sad but mostly they are all with happy end. For example one of the horses was rescued from the hands of negligent self absorbed owners who didn’t even bother to feed the poor creature, another one is blind and is always close to her buddy who clearly helps her around with directions and orientation.

It was such a beautiful and rewarding experience – hopefully I’ll be back once again to talk to horses and take more pictures!

As usual, I’ll be donating 15% of the fee to an animal charity of my choice.

A Beautiful Afternoon Walk in High Park with Deirdre and her three girls: Leila, Persephone and Willow

I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoy taking pictures of people and their furry, spiky, fuzzy, feathery companions:) Deirdre is one of those amazing people who will do everything in her power to help or save a dog in need. Persephone, one of her dogs, was 11 years old when Deirdre adopted her – she came with a long history of abuse, trail of all sorts of problems and was basically left to die. Even though I heard that the adjustment period was rough – you should see them now, Persephone never leaves Deirdre’s side! Both Persephone and Leila are at the very respectable age and even though it breaks your heart to look at their skinny little bodies, I know that they are in good caring hands and so so loved by their owner

To all of you my friends: please know that if you decide to take “People and Their Pets” portraits with me, you will also be helping animals in need – 20% of the fee will be donated to various organizations that are dedicated to making a difference in the world of domestic and wild animals, raise awareness and basically give humanity a second chance to prove themselves. Please know that I will be donating money portion from each and every shoot to such organizations like PETA, OSPCA, Toronto Humane Society and also small private shelters that do not have much support or fame and could really use some help to provide good care for those unfortunate animals they took on themselves.
